Checking and changing the oil is a very simple way to insure that you understand the vehicles performance. If not done on a regular basis you might have a great big surprise when you pull the dip stick or you hear the lifters tapping away.

General motors are not the best seen car manufacturers as there environmentally friendly sector is simply not an interest for them. Today car manufacturers are concentrating on this although there is conflict on what is the best way to fuel cars GM simply don't care

I've seen a lot of DIY auto body workr and I'm sorry to report that 80% of them need to be redone. And redo's are more expensive than the repair would have been from the beginning because so much needs to be corrected. But if you are really detailedabout your steps and use your local auto body supply store for advice, you can deliver great results on the first shot.

Very easy to use and intuitive (especially for the wife who is not tech-oriented.) Small and flat enough for portability. The MSN traffic updates (free trial for 3 months) come in handy in our recent San Diego vacation. Very useful in heavy traffic where we live too (SF bay area.)

I originally bought a tomtom go 680, but the battery was terrible when not plugged in the car ---I ended up taking the unit back. The Garmin 780 lasts for at least 3 hrs when unplugged.

The only annoying things are:
- It takes a lot longer than tomtom to power up and acquire satellite signal.
- MSN traffic service will not work without the unit's car power cord connected. This could be improved i.e. when you are on your hotel trying to figure out where to eat and what's traffic like.

I have not tried the FM compatibility and MP3 player feature. Nice bonus to have though.

Driving without a muffler is safe but you will want to get it repaired as soon as possible as your car will be very loud and you probably won't be in compliance with your state's emissions laws.

I was driving home and hit a pothole and my muffler started dragging on the ground and by the time I could safely pull over my muffler was about five feet behind my car. It resting in my trunk now. My question is if it is safe to drive my car without a muffler and if it actually needs to be fixed?
