I don’t need an alarm clock. Why? Everyday, when my neighbor’s wife leaves for work I hear her brakes squeak and squeal as she makes four-point turns attempting to back out of her driveway and get on her way. This annoys me. I don’t like it. I used to think the noise my alarm clock made was annoying—this is worse.

So I asked my buddy neighbor about it. “Hey,” I said, “your wife’s car really has a brake squeaking problem.” “Really?” is all he says. Next, I try for the wife. “Hey hon,” I try, “your brakes really squeak.” I did not get the reaction I expected.  Read more...

Almost everyone or every family owns at least one car—sometimes more than one. Unfortunately, using our vehicles to get around is our biggest polluter.

While we await affordable options in Hybrids and alternative energized vehicles, we must still be responsible that the vehicles we drive are kept in good condition to minimize our pollution levels.

Car companies push that bigger is better and the more options the better, and while it’s okay to have those things, keep them inline with the emission standards they are supposed to meet—regular upkeep is important.

Luckily, some manufacturers have been placing improved and enhanced systems into the vehicles we drive such as better emission controls, electronic monitoring systems, engine performance warnings, better air-flow systems, and better exhaust systems.  Read more...
